Journals of Doc Surge is the personal blog of me, Chris Billows. I have an eclectic history of being an activist and a playful dabbler. I once helped form a political party, helped found and then rejected Canada’s electoral reform movement, started a number of businesses, acted as an angel investor, and held down full time profession in health care, while being a husband and father. I am currently growing a new media company that is currently soft launching its main offering.

Doc Surge is inspired by Doc Brass from the Planetary Comic series who in turn was inspired by the 1930s pulp hero Doc Savage. Doc Surge not only sounded awesome to be an internet handle but I loved that ‘Surge’ was such a cool synonym of my surname Billows.

This will be my personal journal of business, political, and philosophical musings. It will feature things that I am involved with plus things that I find really cool. Thanks for reading.
